Kellen “Bobo” Jones ’08 Memorial Grant

A $500 grant (per recipient) will be awarded to one male and one female BHS student athlete in their senior year who exhibit the characteristics and attributes that made Kellen Jones a successful athlete, teammate, and Ballard Beaver. This award may be used for any post-high school vocational training, community college, or four-year college.

Athletics helped Kellen build his confidence, develop leadership skills, understand the value of the team (family), the experience of others and to build honor. The focus he learned on the field and track helped him in school. He valued all of the sports BHS offered and was a frequent spectator as well as a participant. He valued his peers. Kellen also valued and applauded hard work.

Recommended characteristics and attributes of the GRANT recipient:

• Excels in athletics, academic strength not necessary

• Respects teammates, coaches and fellow athletes

• Sportsmanship

• Beaver Pride

• Love for Ballard Community

• Positive attitude
